  • How do I get assessed?
    Your assessment is continuous you will take part in peer observations, write reports, lesson plans, schemes of work, essays, presentations and group work in addition action research will be one of the mandatory units.
  • What qualifications do I need?
    Depending on which level of teaching qualification you would like to have and what age group (see courses available).
  • How and where will I study?
    You will study both face to face with teachers and online (blended). You will for the higher levels of teacher training need to complete hours in working practice. (see what courses are available).
  • What courses are available for teaching at CEC?

  • What’s the cost?
    There will be a reduction for group bookings and will be calculated per contract dependent on budget.
  • Are there any practical assessments?
    Yes this is a practical qualification as well as a theoretical one. You will be expected to be observed in your classroom by subject specialists/ peers and tutors at the higher levels on the level 3 programmes you will deliver a mini teach to your peers and tutor.
  • Who is CECAT?
    Canadian Education Council (CEC) with Avenir Training (AT). A working project between 2 companies CEC and AT who are both passionate about training standards in education. Creating teachers who are skilled and competent in guiding teaching and learning. We are working together with Pearson as the first international approved center for education and training.
  • What is Teacher Training?
    Teacher training is the art and discipline of teaching and learning. It is for those who want to teach, whatever subject or age group. The art of teaching it is a separate skill and one which you will learn how others learn. It is usually divided into 3 age groups: Early years and Primary (3-11 years) secondary (11-18 years) and Adult (post 18 years).
  • Are there any exams?
    No. All assessments will be varied with no formal examinations.
  • What level of English do I need to have?
    You are required to have an IELTs of 5-5.5 or above or CEFR B2. Although programmes will also be available in Thai soon.
